Before in-ground swimming pool construction begins, you have to know what material you want your new pool to be made of.
The most common types of pool material are concrete or gunite, vinyl, and fiberglass.
Different pool materials serve their purposes well and are perfectly fine choices. The right one for you depends on your available space, budget, expectations, and lifestyle.

If you’re considering a worry-free pool, consider one made from fiberglass. Fiberglass pools have many benefits and few drawbacks.
Fiberglass is lightweight and flexible but rugged. These pools come with a 50 year structural warranty. This means you save money on maintenance costs.
Fiberglass pools come from quality controlled factory already assembled. Besides making installation a breeze, this means that you have consistent quality. Built and, you can still choose your dimensions and colors and customize them in many other ways.
Fiberglass pools are virtually maintenance-free. They do not need to be resurfaced, as their outer gel coating gives you a smooth non-porous surface every time. As a result, you don’t need to use excessive chemicals to eliminate algae growth. If the maintenance of a pool has turned you off to the idea, consider a fiber pool.
Fiberglass pools have the lowest operating cost of any in-ground pool.
